Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all online tutoring services provided by Hannah’s Tutoring. By engaging Hannah’s Tutoring to provide services, parents or guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Tutoring Services

Hannah’s Tutoring provides online tutoring services to students aged approximately 11 to 18 years. Tutoring sessions are delivered online using third-party platforms such as Google Meet.

2. Tutors

Tutors engaged by Hannah’s Tutoring are self-employed subcontractors. All tutors are required to confirm their right to work in the UK and provide evidence of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, either basic or enhanced where already held.

3. Bookings and Scheduling

Tutoring sessions are scheduled by agreement between Hannah’s Tutoring, the tutor, and the parent or guardian. Sessions may be paused or rescheduled by parents or guardians provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given.

4. Fees and Billing

Tutoring services are charged on a per-session basis. Sessions are automatically invoiced following delivery. Where a payment card is held on file, payment will be taken automatically two days after the session has taken place. Where no card is held on file, parents or guardians are responsible for making payment manually. Parents or guardians may choose to pay for sessions in advance if they wish.

5. Cancellation Policy

Hannah’s Tutoring operates a 24-hour cancellation policy. Tutoring sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or sessions missed without notice, will be charged in full.

6. Trial and Introductory Sessions

Trial sessions, introductory sessions, or ‘meet the tutor’ sessions are treated as tutoring sessions and will be charged in full unless explicitly agreed in advance as being free of charge by Hannah’s Tutoring.

7. Late Arrival

Tutoring sessions will end at the scheduled time. Late arrival by a student does not entitle the student to additional time or a refund.

8. Technical Issues

Minor technical issues, including brief connectivity problems on the student or parent side, do not entitle the session to be rescheduled or refunded. Where a session cannot proceed due to a significant technical issue on the tutor’s side, Hannah’s Tutoring will arrange a rescheduled session.

9. Tutor Changes

Hannah’s Tutoring may, where necessary, assign a different tutor to a student in order to continue providing tutoring services.

10. Academic Outcomes

While Hannah’s Tutoring aims to provide high-quality academic support, no guarantee can be made regarding examination results or academic outcomes.

11. Communication and Safeguarding

For safeguarding and transparency purposes, all communication relating to tutoring sessions must take place either through direct communication with Hannah’s Tutoring or within the dedicated group chat involving the tutor, parent or guardian, and Hannah’s Tutoring. Parents, guardians, and students must not communicate with tutors outside of these agreed channels.

12. Conduct and Suitability

Hannah’s Tutoring reserves the right to discontinue tutoring services if continued provision is not appropriate, practicable, or consistent with safeguarding expectations.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most recent version will always be available upon request or on the Hannah’s Tutoring website.
